Rohmir AW20

Comprising three acts and more than fifty separate looks, the Rohmir runway show was among of the longest at London Fashion Week. Nevertheless, quantity did not detract from the elegance that is very much characteristic of Olga Roh's collections. "Russian Mosaics" AW20 is inspired by the historic fashions and cultures of her native country, featuring styles reminiscent of those from the 1960s to as far back as the Russian Empire. Between acts, guests were treated to ballet performances by Kirill Burlov and Emma-Farnell Watson, including an opening dance to the Igor Stravinsky classic, "Petrushka". In comical contrast, the show would later conclude - somewhat fittingly - to the Boney M classic, "Rasputin", much to the delight of yours truly.

Ones To Watch: Manon Planche AW20

"Time Traveller" AW20 is a collision of Manon Planche's past seasons, reworking previous ensembles with an emphasis on sustainable production. All denim used in this collection - of which there is plenty - was either donated or purchased from charity shops, to create striking patchwork pieces with frayed and draping details. Other looks in the collection are constructed in secondhand acrylic crystals; one such look giving the appearance that the wearer is dripping with jewels.

Slovak Fashion Council AW20

The basement at Victoria House was transformed into a scene from airport security, as Slovak Fashion Council staged its "BA>LDN" presentation. Founded in 2011, the professional non-profit organisation supports young and up-and-coming Slovak fashion designers, providing a platform to present their collections at international showcases, and ensuring their success as creative businesses.

The two labels featuring at Fashion Scout this season were I'm Not A Robot, a collaborative effort from graduates Nora Čanecká, Erika Daxnerová and Barbora Jakubová of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, and Freier by Terézia Feňovčíková, whose "LV-426" menswear collection takes inspiration from Ellen Ripley in the 1986 movie Aliens.

Rocky Star AW20
