Ones To Watch: Manon Planche AW20

"Time Traveller" AW20 is a collision of Manon Planche's past seasons, reworking previous ensembles with an emphasis on sustainable production. All denim used in this collection - of which there is plenty - was either donated or purchased from charity shops, to create striking patchwork pieces with frayed and draping details. Other looks in the collection are constructed in secondhand acrylic crystals; one such look giving the appearance that the wearer is dripping with jewels.

Ones To Watch: Young N Sang SS20

Featuring a mixed media of colour, pattern and print, "Street Vendors" by Young N Sang tears up the rulebook of traditional men's styling by taking inspiration from the eclectic and idiosyncratic fashions of South Korean street vendors. The SS20 collection, which premiered at Helsinki Fashion Week in July of last year, is bright and expressive, comprising colourful shirts and jackets constructed from upcycled secondhand garments, paired with muted chino trousers and loafer-style sneakers with neon shag soles. For their experimental use of fabrics and positive approach to sustainable production, designer duo Youngshin and Sanglim have earnt their place among Fashion Scout's "Ones To Watch".

Rocky Star AW19

Indian designer Rocky Star lives up to the name of his self-titled fashion label with regal rock star couture befitting glamorous a-listers, the fashion elite, and those who love to strut the streets in contemporary chic. Much like his previous works, the AW19 collection is an exemplar of opulence (you own everythiiiiing) with an exquisite arrangement of glitter, sequins, feathers and jewels over digital print, velvet, lace and metallic fabrics. Each ensemble shimmers and shines beneath the spotlights, drawing the eye to every pattern, embellishment and material detail, and suddenly you're left contemplating the apparent tediousness of your own wardrobe back at home. This is a fashion label for the modern-day goddess.
