40 Colori

Given my love for bow ties and all things bright and beautiful, 40 Colori is a store I ought to have explored far sooner than this weekend. Strolling along Cheshire Street in Shoreditch, it was impossible to ignore the vibrant blue shopfront, and inevitably my wide eyes were captivated by the fashionable fancies and colourful décor I had glimpsed through the shop window.

The accessories label was the lovechild of a London-based creative group and an artisanal tie manufacturer in Como, Italy, who sought to break into the men's accessories market with colour and class. That said, "class" is not how I would necessarily describe my own disposition upon entering the boutique, as I struggled to hide an excitement comprable to a hyperactive child entering a sweet shop with a fistful of pocket money. Displayed in recycled cardboard cabinets to match the company's sustainable ethos, the handcrafted, multicoloured collection includes knitted and classic bow ties, belts, braces, leather wallets and pocket squares - the finishing touches to the quintessential gentleman.

Three Floor AW16

Amidst a scene reminscent of the classic English novel The Secret Garden, the AW16 collection by Three Floor presented feminine ensembles in hues of claret, plum and inky blue, falling then into black. Inspired by Gothic romance, "Curious Labyrinth" reflects a Victorian elegance with floral lace embroidery, sheer fabrics, ruffles and pleating. This is a collection that lives up to its luxury label, boasting beauty and detail throughout.

Pam Hogg AW16

Pam Hogg is without a doubt one of the most anticipated designers at London Fashion Week. Her showstopping collections, revered by fashionistas and superstars alike, comprise the most fantastical and provocative outfits to hit the runway. Despite the show's infamy for running an hour behind schedule, the atmosphere inside the Vestibule is electric, with many of Pam's dearest friends and supporters seated on the front row.

"Divine Delinquent" is nothing short of spectacular, infusing Pam Hogg's signature colour palette with fetish themes and a distinctive flavour of the Wild West. Alongside sheer and latex catsuits that leave very little to the imagination, southern belles in petticoats and bell-shaped dresses share the limelight with outlaws in patent leather two-pieces peppered with studs and spikes. In tribute to the late Sir David Bowie, of whom Pam was a great admirer, the AW16 collection equally reflects the eccentric style of Ziggy Stardust, featuring platform boots, gold fabric, and a shower of stars.
