What Alice Found: 1st birthday party

Nestled among a terrace of shops on the edge of Boscombe is 'What Alice Found' vintage boutique, which has today celebrated a whole year of trading. Nicki Grainger and Karen Ambler hosted a day-long party on the premises with cupcakes, sweets, ginger beer, and
a bounty of vintage attire.

New menswear from Ikkonik Vintage
Coinciding with the Boscombe Vintage Market down the road, the party also featured entertainment from magician Chris Keward, vintage hair styling in the salon next door (courtesy of Vintage Hair Lounge), and also - much to my delight - the launch of a new and improved menswear wardrobe from Ikkonik Vintage.

Because of its Alice in Wonderland theme, the shop has always very much intrigued me. The handmade jewellery has made fine gifts, and I may even be tempted to purchase its "eat me"/"drink me" labels for my own Wonderland themed birthday party next month. However, a stronger temptation won me over today, and I came away with something very special - also for my party, but I'm afraid that you will have to wait and see!

If you fancy paying a visit, 'What Alice Found' can be located at 805 Christchurch Road, Boscombe. Or to find out more, see their website: www.whatalicefound.co.uk

In the meantime though, please have a browse through the remainder of my photos...
