Much to my embarrassment, I may have forgotten to blog about a few of the fashion shows I saw this summer at London Collections: Men. I take so many photos, often hundreds, the thought of sitting down at my computer to sift through them all isn't especially exciting, hence some remain buried and forgotten - for a time - in the dark depths of my hard drive. (I'm a bad blogger, I know.)
YMC was one such show - thirty new menswear looks for Spring/Summer 2016, a handful of which are pictured here. The collection is unquestionably summery, comprising tailored shorts, short-sleeved shirts, lightweight jackets and straw bowler hats. I suppose I wouldn't describe it as a vibrant collection, nevertheless each outfit had been arranged with colour co-ordination in mind. The first looks on the runway sampled a palette of blues and greys, followed by forest green, black, grey again, and finally returning to blue. In parts of the collection, YMC designer Fraser Moss incorporates a unique print overlaying camouflage with polka dots, made also into handkerchiefs for the official SS16 show invitations.
