The National Television Awards 2012

Fantastic view, fantastic company, fantastic evening - the National Television Awards will most definitely be one of my highlights of this year. With musical performances, a host of celebrities, and tumultuous applause, the atmosphere inside the O2 Arena was incredible, enough to get anyone buzzing.

The outing was the brainwave of Miss Charlotte Foot, who I must thank tremendously. Sadly, I was unable to obtain the red carpet wristbands she and our coursemates had desired, but by all accounts, the evening was still extremely enjoyable. In fact, whilst tucking into a meal at Nando's, we agreed that we as friends and colleagues ought to be attending more exciting events such as this, as well as partaking in more cultured activities than the usual weekly nightclubbing.

Fellow BAMMJs: Siân, Vikki, Oscar, Charlotte and Rosie.
Of course, as a Doctor Who fan, I was very pleased both Matt Smith and Karen Gillan won best performance male and female. And if I may say so, I would say that Karen is also the sexiest actress on television at the moment. It would be a delight to meet her in person, so fingers crossed I spot her at Fashion Week!

Other moments which stood out for me included special guest appearances by Will.I.Am and Kermit the Frog, musical performances by Sir Bruce Forsyth and Little Mix, and the hilariously loud screaming of two girls, who, having won the chance to go up on stage, couldn't contain their excitement upon spotting the cast of The Only Way Is Essex.

But enough chitter-chatter from me. I'll let you have a peek at some of my close-up shots from the night. (P.S. My sincerest apologies for any blur!)
