However much Tazz and I prepare for fashion week, our outfits are ultimately a last-minute affair. No truer could be said of Tazz's floral ensemble - the co-ords she had spotted in Zara the evening before, and the camel French Connection coat had been delivered the day before that. Nevertheless this impromptu look, completed with nude high heels from Clarks, had come together beautifully. Even the neutral nuances were set harmoniously against the stone of Somerset House.

Mod Dolly at Pure London

Mod Dolly is a fashion label I have been following for some time now, due in part to being good friends with the company's chief designer and fashion assistant. Had that not been the case, I suppose I may have only given this quirky brand as much thought as I would any other, but I'm glad for the familiarity. Having heard so much from Amy and Paige, having seen the collections evolve, having even visited the studio with batches of my signature rocky road, I have come to fully appreciate the effort and creative process behind this playful, independent label. Behind the smiley bloggers in tartan smocks, there's a hard-working, hard-earning business.

Sunday morning, I went to visit Team Mod Dolly - including Sunday helpers Adora and Ellie - at Pure London, the sprawling maze of fashion brands and trade stands exhibiting at London Olympia. Each season, this massive trade show offers Mod Dolly invaluable opportunities to increase its customer base and expand as a company, by connecting with buyers and potential stockists.

With a combination of striking prints and vintage-esque styling, Mod Dolly has a distinctively fun flavour. The upcoming SS15 collection is looking rather snazzy too, and I haven't a doubt those sublime summery pieces will be a surefire success. Here's hoping for a Mod Dolly men's collection in the near future; I wouldn't mind seeing the same patterned fabrics made into smart shirts and suit jackets.

The Bloggers' Market

When five of the internet's favourite blogging gals announce they're selling off their pretty clothes for as little as 50p a piece, it would be foolish not to expect a bit of a rampage. The frantic sale was held inside The Foundry, a delightfully quaint bar cum café overlooking the Camden Stables Market; its blend of contemporary furniture and rustic decor is a Pinterest paradise. To one side of the café were five stalls laden liberally with clothes and shoes, behind which five lovely ladies - Olivia, Dunya, Kristabel, Lucy and Carrie - were doing their utmost to engage the unforeseen throng of fellow bloggers adamant on parting them from their formerly trendy treasures. Imagine if charity shops did Boxing Day sales. Yeah, that.

Despite that I would look smashing in one of Olivia's dresses, I didn't visit to buy any wares. (Although I couldn't resist trying Olivia's delicious honeycomb brownies, which are an excuse in themselves to arrange a bloggers' bake sale. Just saying, Liv.) The Bloggers' Market was the opportune moment for a catch-up with friends Paige and Adora, who had bags filled with fashionable fancies within minutes of our arrival. And of course to say hello to Olivia, who remains the cheeriest and most charming young woman I have the pleasure of knowing, even when she finds herself surrounded by bloggers battling for her bargain blouse.
