Two years later...

What can I say? It has been a damn good year. It may seem a trivial idea to celebrate the birthday of a blog, but this venture has become an integral aspect of my life, developing me as a person, encouraging me to seize more opportunities and meet more people, and teaching me the value of doing something I love. I honestly don't know where I would be without Unlimited by JK, and I dare not ponder on the matter.

It's funny to think that on this day two years ago, I was shyly asking two girls at university for photos of their outfits. Small beginnings, eh? I never expected what would become of that newborn blog with a non-existent following. But it's crazy what happens when you nurture something you love.

My second year of blogging, in particular, has been a time of growth and success. I have thereabout perfected my street style photography, I have explored the fashion industry further, and I have gained a pleasingly sizeable readership. But the past year has equally offered me so many wonderful opportunities, including...

London Fashion Week | Brighton Fashion Week | Graduate Fashion Week | Alternative Fashion Week | London Collections: Men | Clothes Show Live | Cosmopolitan Blog Awards | interviews with designers | photography job at Boscombe Vintage Market | press days | blogger meets |  fashion reviews | and more.

On a personal front, life is sweet. I am living with three amazing friends and coursemates, I am looking healthier, and I am doing well in my degree. A girlfriend would be nice, but I'm a busy man. So I suppose the only downside is in the knowledge that the next twelve months will fly by. This time next year, I will have graduated, which is a scary thought.

And speaking of the future... My final year at university is my big push to landing a graduate job within the journalism sector, and I sincerely hope Unlimited by JK will aid my efforts. In the meantime, I have already begun work on my major multimedia project, which will be focused on menswear.

So I guess all that's left to say is: thank you. Because without you, my friends and readers, I would not have got this far. Thank you greatly for your interest in my fashion blog, even when some of you have admitted to having little interest in fashion itself. Thank you for supporting me in the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards. And thank you for all your positive remarks and comments - they mean the world to me.

Anyway, rant over. Who'd like birthday cake?

  1. Happy blog birthday. You should always celebrate the positive, which this surely is. Xxxx

  2. Happy blog birthday! You have achieved so much with your blog. You should be so proud. I hope that things will continue to get better and better for you in the coming months (which I know they will as hard work is always rewarded)
